Hi

We were pretty laid back this weekend though i feel like we were busy. Friday, i went to my moms house because dadi needed me to bring him the air compressor. he was working on the deck with his friend. So i stayed over there and worked on some flower pots that i painted and gave to the girls for my lesson today. I painted them blue and wrote on the top "Obedience makes testimonies grow" and i planted a plant in them. they turned out cute. though i didn't have too many girls there today. usually, i have about 10, but today i only had 5 so i am going to deliver some of the extras this week to some of the other girls that didn't show. I'll just drop it by their homes. Anyways, yesterday, we just hung out all day. we went to the mall and did some window shopping. we checked out the new target that they just put in last month at the mall. it was weird being in such a big target. it is two stories! Cool. Also, they have an escalator for your shopping carts. It was very futuristic. they had soda on sale for a really good price so we bought some. then we just hung out the rest of the day and i went to bed early. I have been super tired lately. Today we went to church and we were totally late. it was really bad considering my lesson last week talked about getting to sacrament meeting on time. oops!! But, my lesson was really good and the girls all liked their little plants i had for them. Oh, i forget about Friday night.... i went out with the sister missionaries that have just been assigned to our ward. I have never done that before so it was a little scary. we were supposed to go and meet with a family that is investigating the church but they weren't home. I have met them before so i was excited to see them again, but when they weren't home, i was glad to be able to go home and see dadi. that was until the sisters asked me to go and walk with them. i forget the word they called it, but it's where you walk around and just talk to people about the church on the street. I was super nervous, but we talked to a few people and they were nice. I was more nervous because the area we were in wasn't a good one. If we had been some where else, i wouldn't have been so on edge. It was interesting and i think that if i get a chance to go out with them again, i can contribute more. i think i was just thrown off guard since i was preparing to talk with that family and instead ended up walking the streets talking to strangers. i think it would be hard to be a missionary, but they all say it's the best time of their lives.
So today moma took a great nap and we were able to watch a long movie. superman returns. i hadn't seen it before and it was good. now, we're in the process of planning something fun for next weekend. I'm not sure what we'll do, but i don't have to teach next Sunday so we thought we might go and do something just the three of us. We're still planning it all out, but some of the ideas are... a) to drive up to solvang and santa barbara, b) to drive to san diego, c)to go to catalina, d)or to go back to mammoth. not sure which one we're going to do. Mammoth is pretty far away. I would really like to go to solvang. i haven't been since i was a little kid, but i remember the food!! the streets smell like chocolate all day long! they have the best fudge there. oooh, my mouth is watering. well, i'll keep you posted on what we decide to do. we might not do anything. it's just an idea. we just know that we want to do something fun next weekend and we want to take moma along with us. She's just getting to be such fun!!
i think tomorrow night, i'm going with my mom and sister to get a massage. my mom found this place that is super cheap. it's only $20.00 for an hour!! i think they just opened so i don't know how much longer it's going to be so cheap. we've got to take advantage quick! I'll let you know how it' goes. talk to you all soon!

We love Solvang! Tell me if you go and I'll tell you all about this really cool little 10 minute hike to a waterfall and they have a playground at the bottom for moma. We love Solvang! We're going this Christmas for a sister's thing.
