Today was such a good day. i know my posts have been long lately and that i have been posting a lot, but so much has been going on. today was a great day. it started out with church this morning. fast and testimony meeting was so good today. moma was perfect and we didn't have to take her out of the chapel once!! i loved it. next, i took her to the nursery for the first time. i stayed with her for about an hour and she played with the kids. then we left and i handed her off to dadi so i could go and teach my class. the lesson was on service and i told a couple of fun stories and after that, i did the "chalk board testimonies" that i talked about in my previous post. it was a major success and i highly recommend it since a lot of my blog readers are leaders in young womens. i can think of 5 of you right now. wow!! so i started it off by writing that i was thankful for the girls and how much i enjoy teaching them each week. then, they took turns at random and went and wrote things on the board that they were thankful for as well. some of them would just go up and write something and others would write something down, but also give a quick explanation as well. it was awesome and i actually cried 3 separate times in about a fifteen minute time span. a couple of the girls wrote that they were thankful for me and the way i teach and stuff like that and it made me feel so good. another girl wrote on the board that she was thankful for the young women's president because without her, she would not be active in the church. it was very emotional and sweet. after that we went home and unfortunately, dadi had to go and show a house to a client of his. it didn't take him too long and he came home and we both ended up taking a nap while moma slept. we were so pooped. next, we went to our friends home and had a nice dinner with them. the food was good and the kids all played really well together. their youngest girl was feeding ice cream to moma right from her own bowl. it was so cute. moma was following her around like a puppy the whole night. i was sitting at the table talking with everyone and i decided that i should go and check on moma since i hadn't seen her for awhile. i walked into the living room and she was standing in the middle of their coffee table watching TV with the kids. i was like "okay, which one of you taught her this?" they all said they had been jumping from the couch to the table and she just climbed right up there with them. she's becoming a little monkey! after dinner, we went to a baptism. it was a friend of one of the members that was baptized. it was so nice and Greg sang a song and played guitar. again, i became emotional when a member of the stake presidency talked. he said some of the same things that he said at my baptism and it brought back good memories and made me cry. i don't know what it was about me today. it was a very spiritual day i guess. i was crying all over the place. not like, snotty nose, tears streaming down the face running my mascara crying, but just misty eyed. it was a good day today. now, i need to get ready for bed and for tomorrow. i am going to the beach in the morning with my mom and sister and then going to the gym to meet my friend in the afternoon. then that same friend and her husband are going to come over and swim and we're going to grill up some burgers. it should be a fun day. i need to pick up my house though and I'm a little concerned that i won't have enough time. it's not super messy, but I'm too tired to get off my bum and clean it up now so I'm going to save it for the morning.
all right, my eyes are feeling heavy so I'm outta here. oh, my best friend said i need to add some more pictures, but i haven't really taken any lately. so maybe i will bring the camera to the beach tomorrow and post some. we'll see. just depends on if i can remember to take the pictures!
