Quick post

okay, just a quick post to let you know what we've been up to. I've been busy lately getting ready for our trip to Hawaii. it's less than two weeks away. my mother and father in law are coming on Saturday. they will be here for a week and then just dadi and i will head to Hawaii for a weeks vacation. moma is staying with grandma and grandpa. we have been showing her their picture and saying "grandma and grandpa are coming" she usually kisses the picture. also, she calls them Nana and papa even though we are referring to them as grandma and grandpa. she knows how to say grandma as she calls my mom grandma, but she calls my dad and his wife Nana and papa so i think she's a little confused. i don't really care what she calls them as long as it's not one of her famous "swear" words. yesterday i babysat for our friend. she took her family to Disneyland and didn't want to bring the little one along. so i watched her and moma had such fun. they were hugging each other all day long and playing so well. they both went down for their naps at the exact same time so that was super nice for me. they both slept for three hours which was another plus. my friend cuts hair and she's trading me two hair cuts for watching her daughter, so next week I'm heading over there and getting both moma and myself a trim. today i delivered like 500 Avon orders (okay, only 3) but when i was driving all over town, it felt like more. we also had our fun with foods class today and moma had a good time. she painted some pretty pictures. i will post some pics another time. at one point, she put her entire hand in the green paint and then wiped it on her pink shirt. so now she has a green hand print on her tummy. it comes out in the wash, so i wasn't concerned about it. i like it when she gets messy. so many parents freak out if their kids get dirty, but i like for her to just go for it and have some fun. as i've said before "a little dirt never hurt anyone". however, when she wiped her green hands on MY pants, i wasn't so eager to get messy. next week, we are painting pumpkins. we can either get a real one to paint, or a fake one. i think I'm going to get a fake one and that way i can keep it as a Halloween decoration each year. tonight, we are supposed to have friends over for dinner, but I'm not sure what's happening there. they have an appointment after work so if they come over it won't be until about 7 or 7:30. that's pushing it for me for dinner time. we usually eat about 5:30. i guess I'll need to have a little snack to tide me over. okay, that's it for today. this post wasn't as short as i thought it would be. it didn't take long though since I'm a fast typer!!! bye
