What i was doing 20 years ago..... I was 8 years old then, so i was in the third grade. I had Ms Lane as my teacher and she was one of my all time favorites. I was in either girl scouts or brownies (not sure what age is which) and going on camping trips and doing fashion shows with them. I also was "liked" by a lot of boys at school and day care. If a boy liked me, he would bug me and then i would kick him in the nuts. my mom said that if a man ever tried to hurt me to kick him in the nuts and run away. i took this too literally and kicked every boy in my school in the nuts when they bugged me. they probably still have problems to this day.
What i was doing 15 years ago..... I was 13 years old and in the 8th grade. i was the third tallest person in my school (i haven't grown any taller since the eighth grade) and had really horrible acne. i was on acutane for the acne and had to have monthly pregnancy tests done by my doctor as it was a requirement for the drug (strong stuff). even though i wasn't anywhere near "doing it" yet. i also had my first french kiss with a boy in the women's lingerie department of sears in the Westminster mall. it was gross and all my friends were watching.
What i was doing 10 years ago.... Ten years ago (18) , i had just gotten my first tattoo and pierced my belly button. I had moved out of my moms house and was living in an apartment in the ghetto in long beach (5th and pine). it was pretty bad. bums would stand outside my apartment and ask for money. a few months later, i moved back in with my mom and i met dadi shortly after that. i had my first date with him and told my mom the next day that i as going to marry him. i just knew it.
What i was doing 5 years ago.... five years ago, i was working for capitol commerce as a loan coordinator. i was receiving and answering over 300 emails per day from our brokers asking for status of their loans. (I'm not joking about the emails. i counted one day just to see. i became a really fast typer!) it was pretty stressful and the hours were long but it helped me to learn a lot and have a career instead of just a job. that's pretty much it. when you're answering over 300 emails a day as well as phone calls and working on loan files, that's all your day consists of and when you get home, you just crash.
What i was doing 3 years ago.... 3 years ago, i was in Hawaii with dadi and we were talking about getting pregnant again. i had just had a miscarriage so we had to wait for a little while before we could try again. the trip to Hawaii was super fun and we had some friends on the island at the same time (a and a) so dadi had a guy to swim with and i had a girl to gossip with on the beach. then we had our alone time as a couple too so that was nice.
What i was doing 1 year ago.... one year ago, i was working for ABC part time from home underwriting loans, losing my mind, trying to keep the house clean, work 4 hours a day and be a good wife and stay home mom. i got to quit working soon after that and my life has been so much easier since then. i sure don't miss working on peoples mortgages any more. i was also planning a kick butt 1st birthday party for my little girly, moma!!!
What i was doing yesterday..... yesterday, i had a guy come to the house to remove the asbestos from the attic so that we could get new heating and a/c installed. i couldn't be here while they worked so i went to dadi's work and went out with him on deliveries and got to have lunch at "mahina" our favorite Hawaiian food place. moma was super good the whole time and never complained during the two hours we were driving all around making deliveries. dadi went and got our taxes done in the evening so he picked up a fresh strawberry pie for me from Marie calenders on the way home since we got a decent return. we celebrated by having a steak dinner (we bbq'd) and pie for dessert. yum!!!!
What i did today.... today i stayed home all day and watched cartoons with moma. we had guys come out to install new a/c and heating so it took most of the day for that. tonight, we are just hanging out and I'm hoping to get to the store tonight, by myself, for a little grocery shopping.
What I'm doing tomorrow.... tomorrow i am waking up early and tidying up the house. my dad is coming over around noon for lunch and he is going to pick up some sandwiches on his way. we're going to play with moma and visit. then at 4:00, i am going to pick up one of the young women in my ward and have her and her sister (k & b) babysit moma for us so that we can go to dinner and the temple. i tried to make an appointment for the temple last week since my mom was watching the kid, but they were booked, so i made it for this week and just decided that we would bite the bullet and pay for a babysitter. good thing we got that tax return!!!
