So this weekend was interesting. It started off Friday night when dadi and i dropped off moma at my moms house. we went to Chevy's again for their awesome el happy hour specials for the appetizers. it was yummy though it took forever. the server said there was a mix up in the kitchen and that she apologized and that the manager would be coming out to speak with us. she never did so that sort of ticked me off. we waited forever for our food (like 40 minutes from the time we sat down and ordered) and people that had come in 10 minutes after us were done and gone by the time our food arrived. i was a server for many years and even worked for Chevy's so i know what's up. some one dropped the ball and we should have been compensated for it in some way, but we weren't. after that, we went to target and bought some candy to sneak into the movies. i know this is wrong, but admit that you do it too!! come on! so they had some shorts and shirts on sale for moma for $2.78 each. i just had to buy her a summer outfit. it's pretty cute. she also needed sandals as well and we found some cute ones. i had a gift card for target so i used that since we're poor. after that, we went to the movies to see Juno. i know it got good reviews, but i really didn't want to see it since i thought it glorified teen pregnancy. but dadi wanted to see it and so we went. it was really good. it was funny and cute and it didn't make teen pregnancy seem too fun. (even adult pregnancy isn't too fun). it made me cry too. after the movie, we went home and went to bed. Saturday morning, dadi woke up early and went and worked on some music that he has been recording and i slept in. when he got home, we went to IHOP for breakfast and some lady sitting at the table next to us had the exact same ring as i do on her cell phone. it drove me nuts since no one has my same ring so i kept reaching into my purse to check my phone. it seriously went off about 10 times while we were there. maybe even more. it was like every 3 minutes. so annoying!! after IHOP, we went to the GW swap meet and looked around. we bought some fruit and just checked out all the random junk. it was fun. moma came home at about 4:00 and we just relaxed the rest of the night. Sunday morning i woke up and wasn't feeling good. i had some really bad cramps and a backache and pressure. it got pretty bad there for awhile and i thought i might be in labor. i was pretty freaked out. so i called the nurse and told her what had happened. she said to just relax and to come in if it happened again. i didn't go to church. i just laid around all day. it never happened again, but i still felt crampy and achy all day. so at about 5:00 i just decided that i would feel better if i went in. so i did and three hours of testing and waiting later, they said i could go home and that everything looked good. i figured that's what they would say, but i just wanted to know for sure. i couldn't just sit at home feeling weird and not knowing if something was happening or not. the doctor said to just take it easy and call the labor and delivery nurse if it happened again. I'm still having back pain today but it could just be because my back is starting to hurt from the pregnancy.
one good thing is when i got home last night from the hospital, the baby was moving around a ton and dadi put his hand on my belly and felt him move for the first time. i didn't think he would be able to feel it yet, but he did!! he got to feel him kick (or punch) 4 different times. it's always so much funner when other people can feel the baby move too. it makes it more real for every one i think.
anyways, I'm fine so don't worry. everything looks good. I'm just taking it easy today. well, really I've been taking it easy every day because of the hernia, so i guess I'll just take it "EXTRA" easy for the next few weeks.

Shame on you! I've never snuck into the movies! I'm glad the baby's okay though!
I am so jealous you have grandma close by! I wish my mom or Scott's mom was closer. We would be leaving our kids every weekend!
Okay, my apologies, I misunderstood about the sneaking candy in. Girl what haven't I snuck in? Pizza, ice cream, popcorn, anything to avoid the overpriced concession stands. I'm with ya!
