Glen Ivy & New Hair-do

So, first things first. i chopped off all my hair. i will post pictures sometime this week. i got it done last night kind of late and when i got home, i didn't think to take a picture. then today i went to glen ivy hot springs with my mom and sister for the day and while my hair held up super great (even with going in and out of the pools/showers), it's not in "photo" shape. so one day this week when i look cute, i will take a couple of shots and post them. i like it. tomorrow will be a bad day for pictures because i'm going to clean house and stay home and i really don't want to get all gussied up just to take a picture. I'll post one soon. just don't be too shocked when you see it!!

i am adding to this post because i forgot to write about our day at glen ivy. since i included that in the title of the post, i guess i better talk about it.....
my mom wanted to go to glen ivy hot springs for her birthday that is coming up next week. we go about once every year or two. it's a day spa in corona that has all these fun pools and Jacuzzis and stuff to go in including mineral baths, saline pools and red clay that you rub all over yourself and then bake in the sun. it leaves your skin super soft. it's kind of gross because it smells like rotten eggs because of the mineral water, but it's so fun to get all red and then bake in the sun. i told my sister that i felt like that guy from the fantastic four (thing) that says "it's clobbering time!" because when you move after you're all dried up, it crusts and flakes over. then you go and shower off the mud and get all pretty again. our favorite thing to do there is the raft pool. can't remember it's name. but basically, it's a pool that's only about 1 1/2 feet deep and they give you these mats that you float on and get sun. the water is pretty chilly, but once you get over the shock of it, it feels so good because the sun is beating down on you and the water is cooling you off. they also have pool side service and they'll bring you drinks and stuff. i got a lemonade and it was free refills all day long. i tried not to go crazy on the lemonade because I'm at the stage in my pregnancy where i pee every five seconds. oh, the coolest thing about that pool was that i got to lay on my belly and get sun on my legs. anyone that has been pregnant knows that laying on your belly at this stage is impossible. so it was so nice to just float on the raft and not have any pressure on my little guy. it was great. i got a little sun burned so that wasn't good, but we had the best time just us girls (me, my sister and mom). we brought all sorts of magazines and books to read and didn't end up reading a single one because we were talking so much. oh... funny story....... so we were in the pool with the rafts and this lady next to us that was floating along with her daughter was trying to flip over, so she got up and when she did, she totally started farting over and over again. at first my sister and i thought it was her raft that was making the sounds, but we soon realized that it was NOT her raft. then the daughter was like "geeeez mom!! you're not going to be able to show your face around here!!" and i couldn't hold in my laughter any longer. i started cracking up. my sister was also laughing hysterically and we were both trying so hard to stop so that we wouldn't embarrass the lady any more than she already was, but we couldn't control ourselves and for about five minutes we kept breaking out into these uncontrollable giggles. it was so dang funny. then when I'm finally getting a hold of myself, my mom (who didn't hear the farting episode) starts saying to us in a loud voice "what's so funny?? what's going on??" and we were like "mom- ssssshhhh!! we'll tell you later!!" but then that got us laughing all over again. it was so funny. I'm sorry, but i have the mentality of a second grader when it comes to those kind of things. farting is just so funny!! so over all, the day was super nice. we also stopped at toms farm's on the way there and had breakfast, then we stopped again on the way home and bought various items to share. they have super yummy sourdough bread and fudge and fresh popcorn and fruits, etc. so we picked up some stuff and shared it on the way home. if you've never been to tom's farms and you live around here, i highly recommend it. they have a train and pond and stuff for the kids and antique shops and bakery's, etc for the adults. it's pretty fun and not too far away. my cousin "k" watched moma for me so that i could go. i was so thankful for that because i didn't want to miss out on such a fun time with the girls. moma had fun playing with her son all day. i swear i think yesterday was more of a treat for me than it was for my mom and it was supposed to be her birthday present. it was so nice to just be able to lounge around in the sun and pools and relax. so much of my day is filled with "i got to's" meaning, i got to feed moma, i got to pick up the house, i got to do laundry, etc. that it was such a treat to just be able to think about myself. i totally needed that right now since I'm getting to the home stretch of this pregnancy and I'm pretty over it. also, my back was feeling great yesterday so that was a super bonus!
oh... one more thing that i want to post about. i had my doctors appointment on Monday afternoon. i am 30 weeks along now and everything is going good as far as the baby goes. only 7 more weeks before they start trying to get me to go into labor and only two weeks after that that they will induce me. also, my weight gain has been really good which i was scared of. i was so afraid that i had gained a lot this time, but i hadn't. I've gained a total of 22 pounds so far. the doctor does not want me to gain any more than 30 pounds since moma was so big. so it's going to be a little hard for me these next few weeks since this is the time that most women blow up in their weight but i thought that i had already gained the 30 so it was very cool to hear that it was only 22.
okay, that's it. I'll post a picture of my hair soon.

Glen Ivy sounds amazing. I wish we had one here. Is it expensive? I always want to go to places like that and just splurge!
