Memorial Day Weekend

So this weekend was pretty uneventful. On Saturday we sat around all day thinking of something to do. the weather here was bad (rainy and cold) so it wasn't like we could go out and go to the beach or park or whatever and we couldn't think of anything to do that would include the whole family that didn't cost us money. so we literally sat around all day with nothing to do. finally at about 6:00, dadi decided that he's got to get out of the house and went to work on his music for a few hours. this was okay by me since i was tired and just wanted to be free to watch whatever i wanted to on TV. I couldn't fall asleep on Saturday night. i guess all that sitting around and doing nothing made my brain a little crazy. i laid in bed with my brain so active that i could not for the life of me, fall asleep. then, right when i felt myself dozing off, moma woke up crying. this was the beginning of a night of terror for me. for some reason, she could not sleep. for those of you that have little ones that wake up in the night, you have to understand that my kid does not do that and hasn't done it since she was 6 weeks old. she values sleep as much as i do and hardly ever wakes up in the middle of the night. so it was very frustrating for me because i am not used to it. i thought she was getting sick since that would be the only logical reason for her to be up, but she didn't have a fever so i was at a complete loss. i had no clue. every couple of hours, she woke up crying and i would go in the there to console her and see what was the matter. at 4:00 a.m., i finally fell asleep (for the first time all night!!). then she woke up again at 5:00, but dadi went in with her and comforted her this time so that i could sleep. On Sunday morning, i was still waiting for her to be sick or something, but she seemed fine and just a little grouchy. we went to church and she was so good in sacrament meeting. we didn't have to take her out once which was great considering i forgot to pack her any toys to play with. she had some snacks and a stuffed monkey in my purse to keep her occupied. then she went to nursery and as we were walking half way down the hall to go to our classes, we heard her start freaking out crying. she loves to go to nursery and see her friends and drive the car in there so we weren't sure why she as crying. she was saying "mommy-daddy!!". so we waited outside the door for a little while where she couldn't see us and made sure she stopped crying. it took about 30 seconds and so we went off to our classes. after church, i went and picked her up and the nursery leader said that she had had a really hard time in there. she said that she's never had any problems like that with her in the past. i told her that she had had a rough night and was probably exhausted and i apologized. we were going to take her home and put her down for her nap and then go to my dads house for dinner. we were going to have to cut her nap short in order to get to my dads house in time for dinner. she whined the whole way home and i just knew that i couldn't bring her to my dads house in that state. they want to see a cute bubbly granddaughter, not a whiny, tired, maniac. so i called him and told him that we would have to reschedule. i felt bad since they had prepared to have us over, but i just couldn't do it. she was so grouchy, i knew that she would need a full nap. we went home and she slept for her usual three hour nap and then slept all through the night after that without any issues. today, we took her to my moms house and my mom and sister babysat her so that dadi and i could go to lunch and a movie. we went to soup plantation and then to see Indiana Jones. it was playing at the block every half hour so we just went hoping we could get in quickly. we were afraid it was sold out and we would have to wait for the later showing, but we got in with 10 minutes to spare. after the movie, we went back to my moms house and i picked up my sister and we went to the mall for some memorial day sales. i got the cutest most comfortable dress to wear at my upcoming baby shower and it was 40% off!! yeah! then i went over to Ross and bought a night shirt to wear in the hospital after i have the baby. i made sure to get one with buttons down the front so i could feed the baby in it and not have to lift up. it's just a big night shirt and not too granny-ish. it was ten bucks. it was actually more than i wanted to spend since i knew i could get something similar at wal-mart, but i didn't want to have to go and look for one at a later date so i got it. then, when i went home, i removed the price tag and noticed that the original price on the thing was $40.00!! who in their right mind would spend $40.00 on a night shirt? it's not fancy. it just cotton and purple with polk-a-dots. crazy people.
well, that's all. not a very fun filled weekend, but it was nice to be able to get out today and have a little lunch date with dadi. moma loves going to my moms house so she was probably happy to get away from us as well and just have fun and jump around with auntie. they turn on music and jump around the living room like maniacs. it's their thing that they do together. it's cute.

I love lazy days. We got a little bit of laziness in but not as much as planned.
