Baby Time

Well, today was the last full day of me being pregnant. it's 11:00 pm and before heading off to bed, i thought i would post about my fun day today. i worked around the house getting some last minute things in order. i didn't do as much as i wanted to because i was really uncomfortable. moma and i had a great day together which was exactly what i prayed for last night. i really just wanted to have a good day with her with no time outs and no two year old tantrums since it's the last time it will be just the two of us hanging out at home. she was nearly perfect all day and only had to go to time out once when i noticed that she had drawn all over herself with a pen. she had gotten a hold of one and was drawing on her legs while i was on the phone with her medical insurance company getting a new copy of her id card sent to me. she even took off her diaper and drew on her butt!! now that was interesting! but other than that, she was great today and so sweet. she said lots of "i love yous" and couldn't stop talking about the baby that's coming to live with us. at 4:30, we went to my moms house and dropped her off. since we have to be at the hospital so early in the morning tomorrow, we decided it was best to just have her spend the night and then we could have one last date night just the two of us before the baby comes. i know the first month or 6 weeks or so, it will be hard to leave the baby and have a date night so we took advantage of our last night with some freedom before breast feeding becomes numero uno. we went to tu tu tango at the block. if you've never been there before, i recommend it though it can get pretty expensive. it's a cool concept though. it's all appetizers so you just order a couple and eat them and then order a couple more, etc. it's really fun. the portions are small for the price, but it's fun. we had buffalo shrimp, oriental steak skewers, chicken empenadas, crab and artichoke dip, and lamb chops. it sounds like a lot of food, but the portions are pretty small so it's not as much as you'd think. after dinner, we stopped at the rocky mountain chocolate factory and picked up a couple of yummy chocolates. we split them during the movie. we went and saw Hancock. it was a good. after that, we headed back home and sat on the couch and talked for over an hour about life in general. then dadi gave me a blessing and now I'm headed off to bed. i have to wake up tomorrow at 4:30 a.m. in order to get all gussied up for my big day. i still need to pack a few things in my hospital bag, but i have a list so i just have to throw the items into the bag and we're off. I'm so excited and nervous at the same time. i just can't wait to see our little guy tomorrow. of course i am nervous about the labor but i know i can handle it since I've done it before. i just hope i can be as calm as i was with moma. i was so focused on my labor with her. i wasn't one of those screaming ladies in the delivery. i didn't even let out a peep until she was out of me and i said "that just came out of me!!" and then i told the doctor his wife was nuts because she had 8 children while he was stitching me up. looking back, i should have waited until after he was done to tell him his wife was nuts. anyways, i just hope that i can have a similar experience as i did with moma, but just not as big a baby. i hope i can just pop this sucker out!! i will post pictures on my blog as soon as we're home and I'm able to. i hope he has rolled over so that we can have cute pictures of him when he is first born. if he comes out face up, he might be a little banged up. not that new babies are very cute anyways. they are to the parent, but then when you look back at those pictures you think... what was i thinking? they look like little purple or red squished up aliens with cone heads. the only time kids are cute when they come out is if it's by c-section. they don't get as traumatized like that. okay so that's it. it's finally baby time!!! woooo hoooo!!
