Well.... the doctors visit was a little bit discouraging but i gave myself low expectations so i wasn't too shocked. i am only one centimeter dilated which is where i was last week. i was hoping to be a little bit more by today. the doctor did strip my membranes and hopefully something will happen out of that. he did say that he didn't think it would work this time around but maybe it would help it along a little bit for a better result next week. i have been having pain and contractions since the appointment, but not enough to be in labor. he also said that if i didn't progress more during this week leading up to my next appointment that they would not induce me and would have to cancel the appointment with the hospital. so let's all say some prayers and have good thoughts for me that i will dilate more and be able to be induced on the 18th still. i really don't want to go longer than the 18th.
after my appointment we went shopping for some new shoes for moma. her sandals are getting pretty bad and those are the ones she wears practically daily. we went to target and payless. we didn't find anything we liked at payless so we walked next door to target. they had her exact sandals she currently wears on sale for only 6 bucks!! so i just needed them in a bigger size. of course, they had every size except the size we needed so i put my mom on the hunt for them at the target near her house and work. hopefully she will be able to find them. they're so cute and for 6 bucks, you can't go wrong!!! after that, we went to dinner at the lazy dog cafe. we haven't been in a really long time and unfortunately they changed their menu around and both items that we normally get had been changed. mine is now only a lunch item and dadi's is now a new york steak instead of a rib-eye. so we tried some new stuff and we were disappointed with our meals. we wished we had gone somewhere else. especially since we are poor right now. we could have gotten a better/cheaper meal if we had gone some where else. oh well. you live and you learn.
so moma can sing a couple of songs pretty well now. yesterday she came home from nursery and started singing old MacDonald to us. they must have sang it in class since it's been months since i sang it to her. the funniest thing is when she gets to the e-i-e-i-o part. she says something that sounds like this... yai-oh-yai-oh-yai-oh! it's pretty cute. then today on the way to the doctors office, she decides to sing twinkle twinkle little star and she sings it perfectly all the way through. i couldn't believe it since i hadn't heard her try to sing that one before. that one is even funnier because when she gets to the "like a diamond in the sky"part, it sounds like she is saying "like a dammit in the sky".
so anyways, that's it for today. i am really tired since i didn't get to nap today. i will probably crash early tonight.
