Wednesday

This picture was taken a few days ago, but i thought i would post it. it's moma playing with the dogs. I've been watering the plants in the back yard just about every day since it's been warm and she will come out to help me. then we will play with her sidewalk chalk and blow bubbles. that's about all i can handle at this stage. i try to do what i can to get her outdoors and keep her busy without me having to chase her all around everywhere.
I finally finished the baby's room today. it took me all afternoon, but i completed the quilt and the last bumper pad. i haven't sewn much in the last couple of weeks. i just didn't have the patience or energy. today i felt like i wanted to sew!! I'm really happy with the way everything turned out. i could have done a better job on it, but the little imperfections are hardly noticeable so I'm leaving it the way it is. we still need to put up the vinyl lettering above the crib. i think i posted about them before but just in case... i got some black vinyl lettering done that reads "Rock All Day.... Sleep All Night." it's going to look so cute above the crib. i just need to get dadi to help me to put it up and make sure it's all even and level.
Here is the changing table and rocking chair. the changing table looks good. i went a little nuts with the diapers, but i figured i would need them so i might as well get them all set out. I saved about 4 packs from when moma was little and grew out of them so i just used those. I'm so thrifty. the crib is a hand me down from my sister in law "c", the changing table, we picked up at a garage sale for 20 bucks. it was like brand new. we disinfected it and got it all cleaned up months ago. the rocking chair and foot rest were given to us by a friend that i used to work with. they were getting rid of it and asked if i wanted it. this used to be in moma's room. then the dresser (which i didn't post a picture of) is an old family piece. it was mine when i was little. i think it's been in the family for years. it's pretty old but still in good shape thanks to my mom and grandma doing all those refinishes on it.

Anyways, so in two days i finished those little annoying things that were in the back of my head and I'm really proud of myself. now i just need to keep the house clean and laundry done and I'm all good. i packed my hospital bag a few days ago too. I'm am ready!! my sister is coming over for the day tomorrow to help me out a little bit. there's just some things i need to do around the house and she is going to help me do them. i need her help mostly in the vacuuming and mopping department. then we are going to go swimming with moma at the pool and then auntie will watch her for me while i make a run to the grocery store. it should be a fun day. i asked auntie if she wouldn't mind stopping at the donut store next to my house on her way over and picking up some breakfast. isn't that bad?? but a donut just sounds so delicious for the last couple of days. some one mentioned them and i haven't been able to get them out of my head since. oh... i think i forgot to mention that i didn't gain any weight at my last doctors visit!! that makes me so happy. to this point, i have gained 16 pounds less than when i was pregnant with moma and i started out this pregnancy at the same weight as when i got pregnant with moma. even though I'm still overweight, it makes me happy that i haven't gone crazy like last time. i just hope they will induce me on the 18th. that way i don't have any extra days of gaining baby weight!!
