Week One

So this first week as a parent of two children has been fun and interesting. When i had moma, i could just sleep whenever she did so i never really felt the affects of being a new mom and not sleeping. this time is another story. Dadi took Monday off from work, but has had to work the rest of the week. baby g has had his days and nights mixed up so it's been a little rough. last night was the first night where he seemed to switch over. i fed him at 10:00 he fell right asleep, woke up at 2:00 to eat and then fell right asleep, woke up at 5:00, ate and went right back to sleep until 7:30 when moma woke up. so i got a decent amount of rest last night. I'm hoping he does that again tonight and that he wasn't tricking me. On Tuesday i took him for his first doctors appointment. he has a mild case of jaundice so the hospital said to take him in and get checked. the doctor didn't even draw blood to check him. she just looked at him and said he looked fine. my milk came in on Sunday night so he has been pooping like a maniac and the doctor said he should get over the jaundice soon. moma is doing pretty well with him. she wants to hold him and touch him all the time and i try to let her as much as possible so she doesn't feel left out.

yesterday evening after dadi got home from work, we went to the park so that moma could get out of the house and burn off some energy, she had so much fun. after that we went grocery shopping at Sam's club. it was our first family of four outing.

today, my sister came and picked up moma and took her to Disneyland for the afternoon/evening. i was supposed to use that time to nap but a certain little some one is being uncooperative. the only good thing is that maybe he will sleep again tonight since he's up now.

i am doing well. still recovering from the delivery but getting along okay. the only thing is that my hernia has started to pop out again now that I'm deflated. it hurts and isn't fun. i just have to wait five more weeks until i can see the surgeon. i can't wait to get this thing fixed.
