Wednesday Vacation Day

On Wednesday, we went on a hike to devils postpile. it was a lot of fun. it's about a mile round trip and it's really beautiful. we hiked up to the top as well and looked out over the beautiful view. it started raining a ton on the way back with big drops falling on our heads but it wasn't too cold so it was kind of fun. moma did really well on the hike and walked most of the way. she only asked to be held once but it didn't last long. she wanted to collect sticks all along the path and that got old quick. i kept telling her "that's enough" but she wanted more and more and would stop at every stick she saw. hello... we're in the wilderness. there are sticks everywhere!! when it started raining, it got her mind off the sticks and she stopped thank goodness or we would STILL be on the hike picking up sticks. after the hike, we drove around a bit. we were supposed to fish but couldn't because of the rain. we picked up some lunch at this place called the pita pit. it was super yummy. then we went back to the condo to put moma down for a nap. that night, we went in the jacuzzi for awhile. it was a lot of fun. mister studly took moma with him while i stayed behind at the condo and fed thumper, then i came and got her, put her to bed and joined him in the jacuzzi while mom and dad stayed at the condo and watched the kids for us. it was a fun day and we were sad to be leaving the next day. i wish i could just be on vacation all the time. that would be awesome.
