Week in Review & Old and New Pictures

Here's one of thumper. He's really smiley lately but every time i try to take a picture of his BIG smile, i don't catch it in time.

We went to the pumpkin patch last week. We're going again this week for the pony ride.

I made chocolate chip pancakes last week for breakfast. Moma got a kick out of this one i made for her. I'm crazy like that!

This is from last week when we went to visit all my old co-workers. She was having so much fun playing with the phones and calling everyone at their desks.

Monday we had our new cable installed. I love it. It's way cheaper and has more options.
Tuesday we just stayed home and didn't do much.
Here's Moma pretending to breastfeed her monkey. She grabbed my breastfeeding pillow and put it around her and then put her monkey up her shirt and said she was "feedin' the baby"
Wednesday- We went to the library for story time. we had never been before. it was really hard to get out the door and be on time. we showed up two minutes late but since story time is only like 15 minutes total, being late is a big deal. So we only got to see her read one book and sing a couple of songs. moma wasn't too thrilled with it. she was kind of nervous. plus, there were a ton of people there and there was no place for me to sit. i tried to get her to go and sit with the other kids but she just wanted to sit by me on the outside of the circle. we couldn't see the lady or the book. next time, i will get there earlier and be sure to get a good seat. After story time, they took the kids into a separate room in the library where they got to color and glue leaves onto construction paper. it was really cute. moma had a ton of fun doing that. she also danced to the music that was playing in the room all by herself. she loves to dance. i can't wait for her to be a little bit older and get her into a dance class. we will go to story time again this week. it was a lot of fun talking with the other mothers and moma had fun once we got in the other room and she could color.
Thursday- my friend came over to show me a presentation on heritage makers. it's a photo company. i use a similar company already to make year books for our family, but i think I'm going to switch to her company next year because it has more options. she brought her kids over and they played with moma.
Friday- I took moma to the park day with the moms from church. we had a good time. i was so late but we sill got to play for a couple hours before the park closed. it closes at 2:00. moma had a lot of fun playing with her friend "may-me" it's actually "amy" but she calls her may-me. it's cute. she even blessed her in her prayer today at dinner.

On the seahorses at the park.
Saturday, my mom had the whole family over for a BBQ. i made funeral potatoes for the first time. i used my sister in laws recipe and they were super yummy. my family had never heard of funeral potatoes before so they were a little scared to eat them. i tried to tell them it's only called that because they're always served at funerals, but they were still a little worried about the whole thing. my uncle even said after eating them "these potatoes are to DIE for" he's funny.
My cousin and his wife have a bunch of tattoos. I was sitting next to him and i noticed that he had something on his finger. at first i thought it was marker, but since i know better, i figured it was probably a tattoo so i grabbed his hand to take a better look. then he told me that his wife had one too. I just had to take their picture. it was pretty funny.
Here's one on this other hand. He's crazy!

Sunday we just went to church and then carved a pumpkin. we bought a couple already from walmart and one had a soft spot so we needed to carve it early and make the seeds. they turned out pretty good. moma didn't really care too much for it. we tried to get her to help with pulling out the gunk, but she didn't think it was a good idea. she's so funny lately. she says the craziest things. yesterday she told me this.... "mom... my feelings are trying to get out of my body. they are hurtin'" and yes, she calls me mom now. and mister studly dad. she only calls us mommy or daddy when she gets hurt or scared.
This week is going to be a busy one. we are doing something every night this week. it's mister studly's birthday and i have no idea what to get him. any ideas??? please post in the comment section. the cheaper the better.

I made a star wars quilt for our star wars fan friend. If you use big blocks it's not hard. I got the fabric on Ebay, but last time I checked they had the fabric at Walmart.

Those tattoos are funny. They look cute together. I'm so sorry to hear about your DH and the accident but so glad that things haven't been too serious. I wish him a speedy recovery. Chavah from BBC.
