Week In Review

I really can't remember all that i did this week, so I'm going to try really hard....
Monday- we went to Disneyland after mister studly got off of work. we redeemed our passes. Moma is tall enough for the Matterhorn and has been for awhile but we have never taken her on it because of long lines. well, the line wasn't long at all so mister studly took her on it while i stayed behind with thumper. i waited by where the ride comes to a stop so i could see her terrified face. actually she did really well. she started crying only when it stopped and just for a second. The when she came off the ride, she ran up to me and said "whoa!! that was fun! the big monkey scared me." later she said "the mountain is my favorite" it was pretty funny. later she went on to tell us how the monkey eyes were red. i guess she really paid attention because mister studly never even pointed out the "big monkey".
Tuesday- drawing a blank on this one though i do remember that mister studly went and made calls for prop 8 to see how people were voting. he only had one person be mean to him.
Wednesday- I was supposed to meet some friends and their kids at Disneyland in the morning, however i was having a really rough morning. chasing moma around trying to get her dressed, feeding thumper and then feeding him again because he was still hungry, trying desperately to get moma to eat her breakfast, etc. then when i finally got on my way (late) i was half way there when i realized that i forgot a bottle for the baby. i have to get used to having one in my diaper bag at all times. i never had to worry about that when i was able to breast feed full time. so i had to turn around and get it. so annoying. when i finally showed up i met with my friends and we had a nice time. moma got scared on pirates of the Caribbean which is funny because it used to be her favorite ride. now she gets nervous because it's so dark and stuff. she' starting to get scared of things now. Wednesday night, i went and made calls for prop 8. i had one guy and girl be rude to me. they put me on speaker phone and started harassing me. the girl was being nice but her boyfriend was trying to get under my skin. it's really hard for me to not get attitude when I'm being given it, but i handled it really well and remained calm. they were just saying stupid stuff and trying to start a fight. i just said "I'm not here to argue, just want to see how you're planning on voting" then they asked me who i was voting for. i just said that it didn't matter who i was voting for because i was a volunteer for prop 8 not for a presidential candidate. luckily they gave me the answer to my original question and then i got to say "thank you and have a great evening!" i was about to just give up and hang up on them so luckily we ended on a good note. i hate that though. they probably thought i was going to try and "convert" them to vote yes, but we were just instructed to ask HOW thy were voting and that's it. no reason to argue. we're all about peace man!
Thursday- can't remember this day much.
Friday- Happy Halloween!!! we went to my dads and step moms house to go trick or treating and have dinner and celebrate my birthday. it was fun but we were pretty rushed because it took us an hour to get there because of traffic. we didn't get there until 6:40, then we scarfed down our food and headed out to go trick or treating. we went to about 10 houses and then we had to leave to go to my moms house. we got there and went to about 6 more houses and then came home. it was a fun night. if the traffic hadn't been so bad, we could have relaxed more, but we were trying to squeeze in as much as possible. Thumper fell asleep in my arms in his giraffe costume so i carried him for about a half hour. my dad lives at the top of a big hill (BIG and STEEP) so it was a little bit hard to walk up it and carry the baby but i didn't want to hand him off to some one else because i didn't want him to wake up. he was too cute to pass to some one else anyways.
Saturday- today i am going to my moms house for a little while, then she is going to watch the kiddos for me while i go to my friends bridal shower. it's tea party and we were asked to bring scones or biscuits or whatever. i made some chocolate chips scones from a recipe i found on allrecipes.com except I'm kind of ticked because they burned on the bottom. I'm only going to be able to bring about half of them. it will still be enough but it just irritated me that they burned. i even cooked them for less time than the recipe said to. if i ever make them again, i will cook them at a lower temperature. I'm not really a fan of scones so i probably won't make them again anyways. why make scones when you could just as easily make cookies??
