The Killers

So one of my favorite bands right now is the killers. well.... they have been for a few years now, but i go back and forth on favorites every few years. before the killers it was cold play and i'm over them now. and of course pearl jam will always be my #1. they have been since 1992 (that's a freakin long time!!). if mister studly ever leaves me, i will hunt down eddie vedder, make him leave his wife and we will run off into the sunset together.
anyways... back to my original post.. the killers. so i got the new cd for christmas from santa and we popped it open the other day on the way home from utah. i hadn't listened to it again until on my way to my moms today. so i have listened to the cd twice now. my sister went to the store and she took my car so she could bring moma along (i know it's sunday but everyone's been sick and we've been on vacation so we're all off schedule around here and i honestly forgot that it was sunday since we did not go to church today either. boy what a bunch of sinners.) so my sister takes her to the store in my car and the killers cd is playing. she gets back to the house and says "how does moma know the words to "human"?" and i was floored to hear that she knew the words!! so i asked my sister what she was singing and my sister repeated it.
so a little while later when i was packing her up in the car to go home, i started to sing it and she totally sang with me!! it was so funny. so i blasted it a couple times on the way home because i think it's hilarious that a two year old would know the words to this song. she has been repeating things so much lately. i was starting to feel bad because she can repeat commercials. over the last couple of weeks, i notcied her talking along with commercials and i kept thinking "oh man... that's bad. we're watching way too much tv!!" but to know that she picked up this song after only hearing it a few times was really cool. now i don't feel like such a bad mother that lets her kids watch too much tv. so anyways... i just think it was so cute to hear her sing this song with me. i guess she got it from me. i can hear something once and remeber it (only if it's a song though). my brain does really well with music and i guess hers does as well. she knows so many songs now, but i never heard her repeat a song like that. so fun!! my little rocker chick!!
