I really don't even remember what we did this week so I'm not sure why i titled this post like that. i know that i went grocery shopping on Monday- all by myself -and re-organized the pantry. it was a long process but my pantry is now well organized and way too full so i will need to find other places for my food storage soon. that means i have to start cleaning out cupboards. YUCK!! it never ends. I'm either cleaning and organizing clothes because the kids grow out of them too fast or I'm organizing toys. it just never ends. I'm tempted to throw out all their toys except like 5 things each and throw out all their clothes except 5 outfits each. isn't that bad. I'm just sick of organizing all the time. anyways, my brother in law "r" went in on Thursday for surgery to remove a tumor from his pancreas. it was supposed to be a 6-8 hour surgery max, but it ended up going over 11 hours and because the surgery was so much more invasive than expected, his body is kind of on over load and wasn't doing so well. his kidneys weren't doing great and he wasn't breathing on his own. he is doing better now but they are keeping him asleep in order to give his body some more rest. he is now breathing on his own but they left the breathing tube in just in case. they may remove it today and his kidneys are doing better. he is considered in stable condition. it was kind of scary for a while because none of this was expected. he was supposed to come out of surgery, be fine and get his own room that night so when that didn't happen, it was a little scary. my mother in law said he had a nurse sitting with him last night. hopefully he is doing better today. he's not going to be happy when he wakes up when they take him off the medicine that is keeping him asleep. he 's going to be in a lot of pain and confused at why so many days have passed since he was supposed to wake up right after the surgery!! the tumor was the size of an egg and they are going to test it for cancer and we'll know the results of that in about a week. i guess that when the doctors opened him up, it took so much longer than expected because the tumor was really embedded in his pancreas. so they had to be very careful while getting it out. Anyways, please keep him in your prayers. He will be in the hospital for a couple weeks.
Mister Studly went snowboarding yesterday with some of the guys from church. one member has a family cabin up there so they stayed there last night and went snowboarding yesterday. he called me whenever he could since he didn't get very good reception and said he was having a great time. he should be home in about an hour or so. I'm glad he had fun. i think he's going to have to let me take a nap today though because i CANNOT sleep when he is not here. it's like my mind just races and i start getting all scared and nervous. i imagine all these scary things and i totally freak myself out. i never used to be like this. i used to live in the ghetto in long beach all by myself and i never got scared, but now that i have him here to depend on and "protect" me, i get all freaked out when he's gone. i couldn't sleep and so i was just laying in bed watching TV. finally i just turned on the BYU channel and seriously like 5 minutes of watching some old guy talk made my eye lids super heavy and i turned it off and went to sleep but it was about 2 a.m. so I'm wiped out today. yesterday i watched the shop so that mister studly could go snowboarding and i had told my dad that i would have lunch with him but i forgot i was supposed to cover the shop so i just told him to come in the shop with me and the kids and have lunch. i said "it won't be very busy." yeah right. it was so busy!!! it was crazy. just when we would start a conversation, i would get interrupted and have to work!! no fun. anyways, i think my dad should come and sit in the shop all the time since it was so busy. maybe he is a good luck charm. most of the business is deliveries so people call or fax their orders in and then mister studly delivers them but there is some walk in business. it's not much and usually when I'm there i maybe get one or two customers. not yesterday, i had 8!! but I'm learning more about nuts and bolts so that's good. it is annoying though when the men walk in and see that I'm there by myself, they get this totally disappointed look on their faces like "oh, man, this dumb broad isn't going to know what i need!!" and you know what.. they're right!!! i have no idea, but I'm learning. it is annoying when i see that face though. i have seriously had guys walk in and when they see that mister study is not there, they just say "i'll come back later." RUDE!! at least give me the chance to TRY and help you. they see I'm a woman and run in the opposite direction. they're mostly like machine shop workers and older men so maybe that's why but still it's totally rude. and there are thousands and thousands of bolts and washers and nuts and all sorts of different measurements and grades and finishes and you have hex heads and socket heads and fine thread and coarse thread and stainless steel and metric, it goes on and on. it's crazy and a lot to learn.
not sure what's going on this weekend. just hanging out. i might get to have a girls night tonight with my friend but she's checking her schedule. hopefully we can get out of the house together. that would be nice.

I would go crazy watching that shop! Thousands of items? AAAAH! I'd probably just sit down and cry. You're good to watch the shop.
