Haven't Posted In Awhile

I've been so busy lately. So many things have happened since I last posted. I have tons of pictures but of course I am too overwhelmed now to add them all so I'll just type out what's been going on instead. I'll give you all the "short" version...

#1: Mister Studly finally got here a few weeks ago after living separately for about 6 weeks. My brother in law asked me to watch his kids that day and as a thank you he offered to take me to the movies to get me out of the house. I told him that wasn't necessary but he insisted so we headed out to the movies and Mom and Dad watched the kiddos. We got to the theater and were waiting for previews to start when my chair was bumped ever so rudely from behind. Then the rude guy starts mumbling and grunting and making all sorts of noise so I turned around to give him the evil eye and there was Mister Studly!! I was so surprised. I had no idea he had finished up his work in California and was on his way. I was so happy to see him and everyone pulled off the surprise well.

#2: We've been doing lots of fun things here while we wait for the house to be built. We've gone to the mini water park a few times and that's been fun. We've been shopping for new furniture for the house and I've made a couple trips to the thrift store here looking for random things that I can make into something fabulous for the new house

#3- Every few days we head down to the house and have a look at the progress. We found a mistake that was made and they had to fix it but now I like the house even better. The mistake was a big one that the engineer made that the company owner was not aware of so when we caught it, it was a big deal and he was very thankful because they would have made the same mistake on the next house. It got fixed and now we will have an even better kitchen because of it.

#4- My sister came for a visit. The kids were so happy to have her here and so was I. We had a great time going to the water park and fishing and hiking up to the caves. The hike totally sucked (but was worth it) and I felt like I would die at some point but we all made it. Even Moma made it all 3 miles round trip up the side of the steep mountain. I was very proud of her!!

#5- Today we had a big family event. It just so happened that they called both my father in law and my brother in law to be ordained as high priests. It was very odd that they were called at the same time and they were even schedule to be ordained on the same day. My other brother in law is a High Priest and he flew in and was able to do the ordination. Afterwards we had a nice dinner and some dessert and just hung out the rest of the night.

#6- We have been checking into preschools for Moma. They do things so differently here than in California. A lot of the preschools are in peoples homes. I'm getting used to the idea but it's still strange to me. We toured 2 preschools on Friday and have 3 more tomorrow. After that we will make our decision and she will start preschool sometime the first week in September. She's really looking forward to it and part of me is as well. It will be nice to be in some kind of routine but it's going to be hard until we are moved in to our house.  I will miss her for sure but I know she will love it! So far I've only ran into one crazy lady that wanted her students to empty her dishwasher and fold her laundry every morning. When I found that out I ran screaming the other direction. Yeah sure lady... why don't I pay YOU to have MY kid do YOUR chores!! I don't think so!!!!!! What a fruitcake!

Anyways. that's it around here. This week we have a few things going on which should be fun.
We are going to try and hit up the water park one last time before it closes for the season and Mister Studly and I have some type of date night planned. We may even get a hotel. Ooh La La!! Our anniversary in June pretty much sucked since we were so stressed out getting ready to move and all that stuff. Normally we don't celebrate the anniversary of our first date but since our 11 year wedding anniversary sucked so badly and we could use a night out just the two of us, we're deciding to go out this weekend in celebration of 12 years since our first date. 12 years and he still likes me. AMAZING!!!
