Pictures!!!

Here are some recent photos. This is of moma on her 1st birthday. We took her to the park and let her swing and play on the slide. it was fun for us to see her, but she really didn't really care too much about it. Later that night, we went and got her a donut to eat after her dinner since this was her "actual" birthday, we had to treat her with some type of cake. So we got a cake donut with purple sprinkles on it. She had 2 birthday parties so it was more like a birthweek than a birthday.

Everyday I ask moma to go and "give the bunny loves" so she goes to her toy basket and pulls out the bunny and gives it loves. She will usually give the bunny to you afterwards so that you can give it loves too. it's pretty cute. I'm just glad it's not a really bunny because she would probably hug it to death.

This is a great hair day for moma! this is what i like to call "nap head". when her hair is down and not up in a ponytail, this is usually what she looks like when she wakes up. Very messy. Her hair is so long. Most babies hair falls out shortly after they're born, but hers never really did. only on the sides, but the top is now about 6 inches long. i should probably get it cut to even it out, but I'm a little worried about them cutting too much off. i want her hair to be long.

last weekend was my grandmothers 90th birthday party. We had a great time and i think i talked about it in my last post, so if you haven't already read about it, scroll down to see what a good time we had. This picture is of the poster my sister and I made for the party. It was great. I took a bunch of her photos from her life and i scanned them and blew them up to make them bigger and then we made the "90 years of Shirley" poster. It turned out so cute and I'm so glad that my sister helped me. i have never done a collage before and she had taken a bunch of art classes and knew how to arrange them just right. i would have just started gluing them down randomly, but she helped me out a ton and it turned out 10 times better than if i would have just done it alone.

This is our 4 generations picture. it's of my grandma, my mom, me and moma. I love it.
Alright, so there's some pictures. i finally figured out how to download them on the computer and so i loaded them up and now you finally get to see them. it's been over a month since I've posted any pictures. hope you like them.
This past week has been good. Friday night, dadi and i went out to dinner and a movie. we went to claim jumper since we had a gift certificate and then we went to the movies to see shrek the third. it was cute. The whole night was so awesome and it only cost us $5.43. we had a free babysitter. well, she wasn't free, but we paid for her a few months ago and so it seemed free to us now. the young women had an auction at church to earn money for girls camp a few months back and so we bid on one of the girls for a night of babysitting and we finally took her up on it. she came over and took care of moma and had a good time with her. We went and ate at claim jumper with our gift certificate and the bill ended up going over our gift card amount by 43 cents so after tip, it was $5.43. then we had movie gift certificates and so we used those and we also had certificates for free popcorn and soda. It was the best! i love free stuff. anytime you blog readers want to get us a gift, make it a gift certificate for something we can do on a date night. we love date nights!
Saturday night, we went over to our friends house and had dinner. some friends of ours were here from north Carolina so we all had a nice dinner together. it was a little bit stressful for dadi and i because we were also babysitting that night and so we had two little ones to look after. our cousins had a wedding reception to go to and so we watched their 18 month old son. he was missing his mommy so he needed some extra attention. when he's at our house, he's fine, but i think since we were in a new house with a bunch of strangers, he was a little freaked out. once we got him back to our house, he was okay and didn't stress out anymore.
our friends from north carloina then came over to our house and we visited for awhile. they bought some of my jewelry so that was cool. the next day we went to breakfast with them (i know it was a Sunday but we never get to see them so we skipped church and hung out with them- we're sinners :) ) then we took them to the port and they headed out to go on a cruise. we kept their car here so that they didn't have to pay to keep it at the port. it's expensive!!
anyways, today is our 8th wedding anniversary. i can't even believe it has been that long. it sure doesn't seem like it's been that long. it's been a good 8 years. I'm so glad a married my hunka hunka burnin love.
