Tax Rebate Checks & Birthday!

hey there...... tax rebates are coming out a week early so look out for yours starting next week. I'm so excited! not that i have any specific plans for the extra dough, but i know it will come in handy with the new baby coming. maybe I'll use it to help pay for my hernia surgery since we're getting about the same amount that we have to shell out to get my gut repaired! ha! things always have a weird way of working themselves out.
anyways, today is moma's second birthday! i can't believe it's been two years. it seems like yesterday that i was squeezing her big sumo bootie out of me. i know that birthday's are supposed to be for the people that have them, but i think it's for the moms too. you can't help but think about the day they finally came into your life and the first time you held them or kissed them or saw their little hands & feet. because she had pooped in the fluid, i wasn't able to hold her right away like most moms get to & those few minutes (i think 10 or so) until they finally handed her to me were torture. it felt like an hour but everyone there says it was only a few minutes. it's pretty crazy. i will always have feelings of joy on this date and remember how amazing it was to bring a new life into this world. i guess i can't help but cross my legs a little bit and say "ouch!" as well. she was a big mamasita. now i get to do it all over again in a few months. hopefully this one won't be AS big. i'm crossing my fingers (and legs)
anyways, this morning started off with us taking moma downstairs to see one of her gifts. we got her a fish tank with a couple of gold fish & set it up in the kitchen. she really loves fish so we thought it would be fun to get her a couple (we got two of them since she is two now-we're so clever). of course i want to have more exotic fish, but for the small tank we got and the maintenance, a couple of goldfish will do. plus, if they die, they were only 12 cents each. i think i can afford that. after that dadi headed out to work and moma and i got dressed. we then went to the donut store and got some donuts. she even got to pick it out herself. then we went to dadi's work and shared with him. it was a fun morning. now she's taking a nap and then this afternoon we're meeting papa V and sha-sha (my dad and step mom) at chuck "e" cheese's for dinner and fun. moma likes to hit all the buttons on the games so it's nice because dadi & i can play the real games & get tickets and she can just hit the buttons on the machine next to us. she doesn't care that it's not working right. it should be fun. tomorrow we're going over to my moms house for a birthday celebration and barbecue. my mom got her a kiddie pool and so we're going to have her play in it. moma loves the water. it's going to be a hot one tomorrow. 90 degrees!! can you believe that? Sunday will be even hotter. okay so that's it for today. we're just busy with birthday fun!!
