Well, yesterday i started to potty train moma. I'm not sure how she'll take to it, but i would really love for her to be out of diapers when the baby comes. so all morning, we worked on her sitting on her training potty and nothing would come out. she would say stuff like "no mommy! it's too hard" and things like that. so around the late morning, i called dadi to give him a progress update and during my conversation with him, moma ran to the bathroom, ripped off her pants and tried to go poop on the toilet. except she didn't make it and pooped on the floor next to it. i was busy talking on the phone so i didn't realize what was happening until it was too late (dang it). so besides having to pick up poop off the bathroom floor, i was kind of excited because i thought maybe she actually knows what she needs to do. so the day went on and she wouldn't go pee pee in the potty. so when dadi got home, he tried to help her as well and she still wouldn't go. she would go and play on the potty but not do any of her business in it. so eventually he gave up as well, and decided to just sit and relax. right before her bedtime, she went into the bathroom and we figured she was just doing her normal playing around until she came out and yelled "I WENT POTTY!!!" i thought "yeah right" but went to check anyways and sure enough, there was pee pee in the potty. i screamed with delight and made a huge deal out of it. dadi came over to check it out and also got very excited. I'm sure if the neighbors heard us, they thought we had won the lottery or something. so we picked up the phone and called all the grandparents to let them know what our big girl had done. she told them herself and they got just as excited as we had.
today we will try again and hopefully she will continue to make progress. so far we have had one accident. i know there are many of those to come and I'm not really looking forward to it, but i know that it's all part of the process.
