So today i woke up and got ready for the day. i cleaned the downstairs a bit, but only got the kitchen and living room done. i need to do the rest of the house sometime tomorrow though I'm busy so I'm not sure how much I'll get done in the morning. my sister came over at 11:30 and we headed out to the cheesecake factory. I had a mystery guest appointment for lunch and since dadi was working, i invited my sister to come along with me and get a free meal. it was yummy. we each ordered off the lunch menu and then split a piece of snickers cheesecake. my sister had never been to a cheesecake factory before so it was a new experience for her. after lunch, we met dadi back at the house and he got to show my sister his new motorcycle. she was impressed. then we put moma down for a nap and all three of us sat on the couch for a couple of hours talking. it was a nice afternoon. next, i headed out to get a pedicure. i haven't had one in forever. they used to be a regular sort of thing for me. not regular as in every week or two, but regular as in at least 4 times a year. now i go about 18 months between pedicures and just paint my own nails at home. it was very nice to get to have it done. i got my toenails painted blue to match my outfit for my shower on Saturday. also, because I'm having a boy, i thought it would be fun. normally i don't go for blue nails. i felt so bad because the lady that did them spoke in broken English and i had the hardest time understanding her. usually i am pretty good, but i wasn't able to hear her very well and i couldn't make out what she was saying. a couple of times, she just had to give up because i couldn't understand her. i felt like a nerd. the baby was going crazy while i was there and all the ladies were crowding around me touching my belly and watching him move around. i don't think he has ever moved that much in such a short period of time before. it was very interesting. the staff was getting a kick out of it. after that, i headed back home and picked up dadi and moma. we went to my moms house to drop off moma for babysitting. we had a date night to celebrate our 9 year wedding anniversary. we went to our favorite Chinese restaurant and it was yummy. i haven't liked meat this pregnancy so it was weird when the main dishes came. i couldn't eat them. they tasted funny to me. dadi said that they were really good but i couldn't choke it down. it just had a funny taste to it. i think my taste buds are as crazy as my hormones right now. so i skipped the meat and just ate the soup and pot stickers and stuff. oooh... I'm having a contraction right now. they're not supposed to hurt, but they do. i get a few per day and they're not too fun. after dinner, we went to the block to see the movie baby mama. it was our third attempt at seeing it. every other time, something came up or it wasn't playing at the theater we were going to that night or whatever. so tonight we made special plans to go and see it since we knew it was playing at the block at 7:40. so we get there and i don't see it on the board display. i tell dadi and he asks the guy for two tickets for baby mama. the guys says... "oh, I'm sorry, they only had that playing earlier today and the last show was at 2:00." what the heck?? i checked yesterday and it said 7:40. so i was a little bummed. i told dadi that i guess i was not meant to see that movie in the theater and we would have to rent it eventually. i just love on the commercial when they're taking that birthing class and they are talking about how to stretch everything out to make it easier for the baby to come out and Amy poehler's character says "can't i just spray some PAM down there?" oh man that is so funny. i totally wish i could just spray some PAM down there and have the baby slide on out! yeah right! so we went shopping a little bit at the block and got dadi a new leather jacket to wear with his motorcycle. it's best to have leather in case you fall. it protects your skin. he's really not the leather jacket type, but it is more for safety purposes and also warmth in the winter months. they were having a huge sale and so he got a really good deal and was even able to talk the lady down another 5% on the jacket. so he got 30% off total. i got some new sunglasses. i have needed new ones for months now but never could find any that i liked and were cheap enough.
after that, we just headed back to my moms house and picked up moma. we came home and put her down and just relaxed for a little bit and watched TV. i went and got the mail and there was a letter from the IRS. when you see a letter from the IRS your heart skips a little bit. i thought for sure that it was something bad. so i took it in and gave it to dadi. sure enough, the letter said that we owed some taxes due to a calculation error on our 2006 taxes. so dadi is going to have to check it all out and take it to our tax guy for review. it says we owe 1300 bucks!! that's not good! we can never seem to catch a break. every time we get ahead, something happens to set us back. we decided long ago that we were never meant to have money. we'll always be paycheck to paycheck people. it's okay as long as we can pay for the random things- like this- that come up. i don't want to be in a place where we have something come up and don't have any way to pay for it. that would be scary. everything always works out for us. just not in the way we'd like it to most of the time. okay so that's it for today.

I know, there's always something popping up, but I'm thankful too that we're able to handle it and not have to be homeless or something. We're way blessed.
I just saw Baby Mama is at the cheap theater in Huntington Beach, with lots of showtimes. :)
