Motorcycles and Baby Bedding. DANG IT!

So dadi got a new toy today. I had been debating on whether or not to give him permission to go and buy a motorcycle for a few weeks and after some serious begging from him today, i decided to let him have it. he said it would be the "best anniversary and fathers day present ever". how could i say no to that? anyways, we had one about 6 years ago (maybe longer now) and he sold it. he has really missed having a bike and wanted to get a new one for quite some time now. i made him tell me all about how it would save us money in the long run on gas and such and after some explanation from him, i gave him the green light. so he went and picked it up today. it is a 2006 but never was purchased so it's brand new and comes with a warranty. it's pretty nice. i really wanted him to take me for a ride but i didn't think it was the best idea right now with being 8 months pregnant and all. i also made him get life insurance as well. we have been talking about getting life insurance ever since moma was born, but we always would forget and never sign up for it. so today he made the calls and is getting life insurance. i used to really love motorcycles when i was younger but my cousin was in an accident and was killed on one about 10 years ago. it was a really hard thing for all of my family and ever since then, i have been a little scared of them. i have tried to get over my fear, but it's a little hard for me. i totally trust dadi as he is a responsible driver, but it's the other drivers that scare me. my cousin's accident was a freak accident and they're not exactly sure what happened. they think that he fainted while riding and he went over the center lines into oncoming traffic. it was the middle of the day and he hadn't done anything (drink, drugs, etc) that would have impaired his body/mind so they never could find out what happened. anyways, that's a sad story but it's the reason that it's taken me so many years to give into dadi about a bike again. it just makes me worry more and i worry enough as it is. But I'm going to try to be supportive of his desires and just make sure to nag him a lot about safety. I'm sure that will be fun for him. he is super excited and was acting like a little boy on Christmas morning all evening. also, the picture i took was just in our garage so it isn't the best picture but i wanted to post something. the boards around the bike are for protection from our dogs lifting their legs and peeing on it. gross, i know, but it's better to be safe than sorry. we also built one around our new air conditioner in the back yard, our boxer is a leg lifter so he will pee on anything that he can get next to. the boards create a barrier between the a/c or the bike and he pees on them instead of the important stuff.
My next picture is of the crib in progress. i finished another bumper pad this evening so i decided to take a picture of the two completed ones on the crib and show all my readers. only four more to go!! it takes me about an hour to do one and then another 15 minutes to hand sew up the bottom where i stuffed the pad into the pocket. the only reason it takes me so long is because i have to entertain moma at the same time. I'm sure i could crank out two of them in an hour if it weren't for the little interruptions i get every five seconds. tonight's interruption was a very interesting one. actually i had two quite funny interruptions tonight. the first one was when moma decided that she wanted a piece of bologna. i went and got her one out of the fridge. she went into the living room and was watching a cartoon. she was supposed to be eating the bologna, but instead she decided to take off her shorts, diaper and shirt. i see her doing this and i say "moma- you're supposed to be eating the bologna, not getting naked!" she then says to me "no, mommy. i wear it" and then she slaps the bologna onto her chest and puts her chin down and tries to eat the bologna off of herself. of course i don't want my little girl doing this, but it's also very entertaining. so weird. the next thing she did was she said that she had to go potty. i let her go in to the bathroom and "play sit" on her toilet since this is what she does sometimes but hasn't gone pee in there since that first time. so she's in there for a little while and then goes back to watching the cartoon. then a few minutes later, she goes back in, but runs out saying " i went potty!! i went potty!" she does this quite a bit and i go in there and there's nothing. so i just sat there sewing and said "no you didn't" but she kept insisting that she had so i went and checked it out and sure enough she had gone pee pee in there. i was so happy. i screamed and gave her some ice cream. we'll see how she does tomorrow. she'll probably not want anything to do with it again like last time so I'm not going to get my hopes up.
Okay, one last thing about moma. she has been saying "bad" words. not bad words really, but words that i don't want my two year old to say especially with the attitude that she says them with. this is all my fault since i am the one she is hearing the words from. they aren't too bad, but i really don't want my kid talking like that. so we went to the store today and i had brought a little bag of cheerios with me for her to snack on. she was in her car seat and i was driving and she says... and i quote..... "cereal please, mommy. DANG IT!" dang it is one of my favorite sayings. it's not a bad word, but like i said, it's not something my two year old should be saying. i guess i should be happy it isn't anything worse. i don't know. i told her that we don't say that and next time, she would go to time out. so later in the day she gets really clever and goes into the kitchen where she thinks i can't hear her and starts whispering things to the dogs through the screen door. stuff like "hi Jedi" and "P.D.'s my buddy" then i hear her say in a very low whisper "DANG IT!" so i guess she's smarter than i give her credit for. she knows that if she talks in a whisper, i might not be able to hear her. sneaky little thing!

I am jealous. We have the one car but I have been trying to convince Mike to let me get a bike to ride to work...on another note the bumper pads look great!
