A Few Pictures

So here are a few pictures from the past month. I'm such a terrible picture poster. It's just getting them put on the computer that seems to be the hard part for me. i know it's an easy process, but sometimes i just have a few minutes to post and i forget to grab the camera and load the suckers on there. Anyways, this is my dad and step mom holding baby g when he was three days old. he's so little. i know that technically an 8 lb 10 oz baby isn't considered "little" but compared to what i was used to with moma, he's a runt.
His eyes look so dark in this picture but they're actually blue. dadi and i are really hoping for green eyes. i have green eyes and so do both my parents. it would be nice. when moma was born, her eyes were almost black so we knew she was going to end up with her dadi's brown eyes. we're hoping this guy gets my green ones. we'll see....
I tried desperately to get a good picture of the two of them together, but it never would work. either moma was too obsessed with kissing him or hugging him and i couldn't get a good shot of her face or he was screaming. we'll try again another day. Moma has really been watching me lately with the baby and while she's still doing really well about not being jealous, she has started picking up some interesting habits. this is a picture of her pretending to eat from a "bottle". her feet were all dirty from playing out on the deck in the back yard and my first reaction was to tell her no, but i had to take a picture of it first. i can use it as blackmail later on in life.
I've been laying a little bit low the last few weeks but i did have a couple of fun outings. on Saturday, dadi had band practice in the morning, so i went to my moms house and relaxed with her and my sister. moma played in her blow up pool and i got a little bit of sun when i wasn't nursing the baby. we just hung out until about 2:00 and relaxed and talked. i also dyed my hair while i was there since i had a couple of babysitters for the kids. i used to dye my hair by myself all the time, but because my hair was so long, it became a little bit hard to do so i started going to my friend that does hair to dye it for me. now that it's short, i can start doing it again myself and save the money. i love the way hair dye smells. i know most people think it's stinky but there's just something about it that i love. I'm weird. and no... I'm not getting a buzz off of smelling it either. on Sunday i went to church for the first time since i had the baby. i had meant to go the week before, but i wasn't feeling well with all the breast infection issues so i stayed home. it was nice to be able to get back to church though. on Tuesday, i was super busy. my mom had the day off and our Disneyland passes are expiring this week so we took the kids. it was a lot of fun. it was my first time using the double stroller and that thing is so awesome. i love it. it worked perfectly. when we went on the rides or were in line, i just took the baby out and put him in the snugli carrier thing. it worked perfect. he was happy and i was happy. the picture above is of moma on the mark twain river boat. i had never gone on it before. moma liked it. isn't she huge?? every time i look at her lately i just think "where'd my little girl go??" she's just so tall. it's crazy. We left Disneyland around 2:00 and then i went major grocery shopping to get ready for our family coming from Virginia and then cleaned the house that evening. we have s and c and their 4 kids here staying with us until Sunday. it's been fun so far. they got here yesterday afternoon and then j and m and their 3 kids came for the evening for a visit. it was a crowded house but the kids had so much fun playing together. the adults went out to dinner to chili's and my bro in law j bought us all dinner. well.... he told us he was buying us dinner and then he "conveniently" left his credit card back at our house. ha! so technically we paid for dinner and then he paid us back later that night. it was funny though and we all gave him a hard time for it. my older nieces and nephew watched all the younger kids so the only kid that went with us was baby g. after dinner we came back home and had some cake and went to bed. today s and c and the kids went to Disneyland and we are meeting them there after dadi gets off of work this afternoon. it should be fun. I'll post pictures of their visit probably sometime next week.
