I'm trying to get more organized and stay on a routine over here. It seems like recently a lot of my time has been spent trying to figure out new "systems" to keep this place in tip top shape. It's tough with a 3 year old and a 1 year old. I'm trying to get Moma more involved.
Side story: Yesterday, we were cleaning her room and she kept getting distracted and would start playing with her toys. Mister Studly is out of town and I wanted to make the house really nice for when he comes back. So I was busting my butt getting her room reorganized and beautiful. She was playing with her toys and after asking her 3 times for her to help, I got upset and said "I'm not your slave!!!" and she say to me in a totally bratty tone "Well.... when daddy's here, HE's my slave!" So anyways, I need to get the little smarty pants to help around here more and I wanted to try and make it sort of fun. Or as fun as cleaning could possibly be!!
I found these totes at Target for only $3.00 each on clearance.....

These totes now sit on the landing on my stairs and Moma did a great job with them yesterday. The plan is for her to pick up and put items into the persons tote that it belongs to. Then at the end of the day, we are all responsible for our own totes and putting the items away. Hoping this makes my life a little easier. I also bought color coded hampers as well. Which I am LOVING so far. I have them in the hallway upstairs and Moma can help me when I say, go throw this in the pink hamper or the blue hamper. Baby G's is the blue one, Moma's is the pink one and Mister Studly and I have a combined hamper that is green. So far so good. I
I had a girls night last night to do a taste testing of some frosting recipes. I put them on mini cupcakes and invited the girls over to indulge and give me their opinions. We had a great time. Check out http://apartyinyourtummy.blogspot.com for some fun pics from the night.
