3 Day Survival/Grab and Go Bags

As most of you know, I have been working hard on my food and water storage. I just cleaned out my pantry the other day along with some of my other "hiding" spots for my food storage (under the bed, in closets, etc) and I believe I have about a 5-6 month storage now. I am just guesstimating that but I have quite a bit and I'm pretty stinking proud of myself. I started working on my food storage about a year and a half ago. Again, as most of you know, I have bulked up my food storage by using coupons to purchase extra items and slowly add to my stockpile. It's been fun and very rewarding to see it growing. It makes me feel good to know that I'm doing something for my family and preparing for hard times/emergencies.
One thing that has been on my To Do List is my 3 day survival kits. I have been kind of overwhelmed about what to put in them, what kind of bag to get, etc. I talked to Mister Studly about it and let him know all the anxiety I've been having over this. In my opinion, if you're working on getting your emergency preparedness stuff started, 3 day packs should be 1st on your list!! Then water. Then food. But I've kind of gone backwards. I started with food, then worked my way to purchasing a few 55 gallon drums of water and now I need 3 day packs. So we talked and decided that we would use some of our tax return money and purchase them. What a load off my shoulders!!! We just bought them last night through THIS company and they should be here in a few days. Praying no emergency's happen before then. LOL
Anyways. I feel really good. I'm so glad we got these things. I'm actually THRILLED! It feels good to do something that's so important for my family. pat-pat-pat (that was me patting myself on the back)
