I Heart Hump Days

I'll just get down to business....

#1- Toilet Paper
Me, the coupon queen with the ever growing stockpile ran out of toilet paper on Sunday. I'm not sure how it happened. I guess I just thought I had some somewhere hiding in the house. But Sunday morning, the final square was used and we were left without all day long till we could get to the store Monday. I didn't feel comfortable asking a neighbor for a roll of toilet paper to tide us over. It's not like I was baking cookies and needed a cup of sugar. Usually if I borrow something from a neighbor, like sugar, I will bake the item and then take some over to the neighbor to share. I'm pretty sure this is the unspoken rule of borrowing things from neighbors. Well..... I wasn't about to go ask the neighbor for a roll of TP or share anything there! How embarrassing. Luckily we had lots and lots of baby wipes in stock so we used those the rest of the day and ran out and got some toilet paper the next morning. I will be sure to stock up better from now on on that particular item.

#2- NOT Grocery Shopping
I usually love to grocery shop, but this week I was so tired and I didn't feel like it. When I started to go through my coupons, I realized the majority of the items on my list were for things that I didn't have the coupons for. You see.... a few weeks ago it was very rainy here especially on the weekends. Well... I guess two weeks in a row, I forgot to get the paper and they got thoroughly soaked. I tossed them and so when I went to pull my coupons today it just so happened that nearly everything I needed were from those two weeks of coupon inserts. So I decided to just throw the list away and wait until next week. I don't really need a whole lot anyways and I was so tired.

#3- My Sister
She's the best. Seriously THE best! She's such a good Auntie to my kids and such a good friend to me. She is always taking the kids fun places and doing fun things with them. She let's me complain to her when I feel like it and she makes me laugh all the time. But most of all... I just love her. She's great and I'm really lucky to have her as my sister. I feel sorry for people that don't have good relationships with their siblings. It's sad. We're six years apart. She was born two days before my 6th birthday. The day she came home from the hospital was my birthday party. I told all my friends that she was my birthday present. Everyone always says that for siblings to have a good relationship, they need be spaced a couple years apart but we have a great relationship so I think all it really depends on is the individuals and their own personalities. I am very lucky.

#4- Disney Passes
We're almost done with our Disney passes. Actually, Moma's expires next month but me and Mr. Studly won't have ours expire till our birthdays in October. We never go in the summer though so it's almost like ours are expiring as well. We won't be renewing the passes either. It's too expensive. It has been fun to take the kids down to the park for a few hours every so often and go on rides and people watch. It amazes me to see all the different people at Disneyland. I remember going as a kid with my mom. It happened nearly every time where a large group of Japanese tourists (like 30 of them) would grab my mom and ask her to pose in a picture with them. They would all crowd around her (all 30 of them) while another took a picture and I was left standing there impatiently waiting to go on another ride. This happened all the time. Seriously!! My mom is tall and had long beautiful red hair. I guess they wanted to tell all their friends back in Japan about the beautiful lady they met. I don't know but there must be hundreds of family photo albums all over Japan with pictures of my mom inside. One time, it happened twice in one day by two different groups!! They would just walk over to her and grab her by the arm and make her stand in the middle of their photo and she would do it!!! Maybe they thought she was some one famous. I don't know. But anyways....Disneyland... I will miss you. It's been fun.
