Baby Shower

So today was the big day of my baby shower. I got to my moms around noon and we chit chatted until the guests arrived at one. My mom and my sister did a great job on the decorating and everything. It was a lil' rock start themed shower. they had blue and black guitars on the table as a center piece. It was so cute. here's a funny picture of me with electric guitar sun glasses on. I'm sure those will become a favorite toy of momas soon!!
Here is a picture of my mom, sister and me. I'm the one in the middle in case you couldn't tell. Aren't we so cute??? i really appreciate all that they did. the food was super good. my mom ordered it from soup plantation and everything was perfect. i was so happy we had left overs because that meant i got to eat it for dinner too and share with dadi and moma!
My sister ordered a really cute cake from a bakery in the orange circle. It was a chocolate cake with chocolate mousse filling. isn't it so cute? and it tasted great too. it was decorated in music notes and said "lil' rock star" on it. so fun!!
Here's one picture of me opening my gifts. I got a bunch of stuff and i don't have to take anything back. everything that i received today is stuff that i really needed and can use. i didn't get any duplicates and i have just the right amount of receiving blankets and burp cloths and stuff. my cousin and his wife got me some really funny onesies. they said stuff like "it ain't gonna change itself" and "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree" i got about 6 or 7 of them and each one was so funny. i also got some clothes in various sizes, head to toe baby wash, wash cloths, some swim trunks, toys, etc. like i said, i got everything that i needed to start me out today.
Here is a LOVELY picture of my feet. they are swollen, but i wanted to show off my pedicure that i got and the color of nail polish i chose. i really matched everything today. i was so fun! it was a good day. my mom and sister went all out for me and we had a lot of fun. After the shower, i sat around with my mom, sister and two aunts and we talked and talked. it was pretty cool. my aunt Karen is the best person to tell funny stories to. she laughs so hard she cries and today we all were able to tell funny stories to her and get her going. she had to get up and get a napkin to wipe away the tears. it was great. after while, all the boys of my moms side of the family showed up. they had all been at the car show and so when they got there, we got to visit with them for awhile before heading out. dadi and moma came to get me and everyone got to see moma and play with her. she loved the attention! we came home at about 6:00 and unloaded the car. dadi then went to the store to get the stuff for tomorrows fathers day breakfast i am making. he had to run out anyways and offered to get the items i needed for breakfast. i just wanted to say that so that all of you didn't think i was a horrible wife for making him go out and buy his own fathers day breakfast items. i spent the next three hours organizing the gifts i received, picking up the house and preparing part of the breakfast for tomorrow. i am making french toast but it's a special kind and you have to let it sit in the fridge overnight and then you bake it the following morning. i also cut up fruit to make a fruit salad. so in the morning all i have to do is pop the french toast in the oven, pull out the fruit salad and fry some bacon and scramble some eggs. marc ari and ryder will be coming over tomorrow morning, as well as my dad and his wife. we will have a nice little fathers day celebration. i am looking forward to it though I'm pretty tired from all the activity today so i better head off to bed. that way i will have the energy to do what i need to in the morning before everyone gets here. i would like for the breakfast to be finishing up cooking right as they arrive so that we can just dish up and eat and then spend the rest of the time we have with them visiting.
